About Us
We Build for Perfect
History
Although in the past PAL has always supplied a small number of machines for the Surface Finishing industry, PSTS has it’s origins in the PAL Surface Finishing group which was formed in 2003. It was not the ideal time to begin a new venture! The Asian economies were still grappling with the effects of recession, the global demand for equipment was very low and the Hong Kong economy was struggling with a falling property market, high unemployment and deflation. As if this wasn’t enough, it was also the year that SARS reared it’ s ugly head in Hong Kong, it seemed our problem’s were never ending! However, even in this environment, the SF Team optimistically started to build the business and with a lot of very hard work and some fortunate breaks, the business began to grow.
The objective was simple: to work with the best and to be the best! With the support of our management and colleagues in PAL, our consultant, partners and suppliers and the unstinting effort and loyalty of the SF Team, during the past five years effort the SF group has grown up to become a well known, credible and professional resource for customer’s seeking value and quality. After a period examining the best options for our future development, we have taken another important step in our journey and formed a new company – PAL Surface Treatment Systems Limited (PSTS).
*PAL employs >800 staff in 18 countries, is Headquartered in Hong Kong and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Asia Tele-Net and Technology Corp Ltd, which is traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Introduction to PSTS
PSTS is a member of the PAL Group, which is 100% wholly owned by the ATNT Group, just like PAL. It’s a limited company registered in Hong Kong and it’s activities are the design, manufacture and installation of tailor made Surface Finishing systems. The inclusion of Systems in the name of the new company is deliberate and reflects the ability of PSTS to provide a complete package for the increasing number of customer’s seeking a ‘one stop shop’ approach. With our unique package of in house design and manufacturing, our world class partners and suppliers and the PAL global service network, PSTS can provide the whole project to customers wherever they wish to set up manufacturing facilities.
Experience
Process Automation International Limited (PAL) is one of the world's foremost independent designers and manufacturers of equipment for the Printed Circuit Board, Semiconductor and Solar Cell industries.Founded in Hong Kong in 1966 as the Asia Electroplating Co, Ltd; PAL began manufacturing equipment in 1981 and has since delivered > 1,850 systems to 38 countries. During the 80s, 90s, and into the new millennium, PAL came to hold the major World Wide market share in the PCB equipment business, and continues to hold the position today through delivery of high quality and innovative solutions to the ever developing PCB market.
As a natural consequence of PAL's success, an increasing amount of enquiries came from the General Metal Finishing market and PAL's capability and reputation increased exponentially in this market. So much so, that in 2008 after 100 Systems had been delivered to 20 countries PSTS was formed under the PAL umbrella to focus purely on this market segment.
Continues
PSTS continues to deliver systems that are second to none in terms of design, technology, and build quality on time and on budget. The whole PSTS team would be very happy to welcome you to come see us in Hong Kong or any of our offices around the world.
